MapViolence is an online tool to report and track the unprecedented increase in incidents of violence and hostility against the Christian minority community in India.

MapViolence is managed by the United Christian Forum (UCF) and partners to report and track incidents of targeted violence and hostility against Christians in India. When MapViolence was launched in May 2019, data was migrated from their previous platform - Speak Out Against Hate that ran on Ushahidi’s crowdmap. We integrated their requirements into a WordPress system that gave them a better dashboard to manage data and reports. With more control on the data pipeline, we were also able to visualize the reports on a district level choropleth map of India. The new WordPress based platform allows report submissions, moderation, data export and filtering.
